Do you know, this afternoon while picking autumn leaves in the park (like you do), a brown bird began a very earnest conversation with me. He hopped right up close to me and spoke quite solemnly about something very important. I listened to him as hard as I could, hoping that some miracle might occur where suddenly all his words became quite clear. It did not happen, and I have to tell you that part of me felt quite surprised by that. Surely if you believe hard enough that something impossible may happen, it should. It reminded me of a story I read once, supposedly a true story about a fairly well known author, who once was visited by the guardian spirit of the botanical gardens he was sitting in. Perhaps the guardian spirit of Victoria Park was not available for bird translations today. Bother.
In other completely unrelated news, I am beginning to put some of my photos in my etsy shop. The hydrangea above being the first. (If you click on this image it will come up bigger, and you can see the detail in the petals much better.) I will probably add a picture a day over the next little while. Hope you all had a lovely day x x
