For my first foray into the wilds of art, I wanted to try an image transfer. I had thought about them for years. I had written image transfer ideas in my art journals for years, but I hadn't made one because I wasn't sure how to do it. And then, not long ago, something magical happened! The lovely Laura posted a gorgeous encaustic painting she had done which included an image transfer in it. And then more magical still, she told me how to do it! Bless her.
I'm so happy with how it turned out. I was really amazed at how much detail I could see in the little sparrow. (Click on the photos to see them larger.) I took this photo several years ago, and it has spent it's life living in a file on my computer. It's nice to have it where I can see it now.
I am about to start another one in the next couple of days which will be about 10 times bigger, so fingers crossed it turns out well. Thank you Laura!
